Canongate Youth - The Gate (Canongate Youth)
Canongate Youth provides employability and well-being support to young people aged 15-24.
Our focus is on removing barriers for young people and supporting them in a holistic way to move onto further education, training and employment. The employability team work with young people to develop skills, build confidence and gain qualifications.
How it works
- Through various groupwork projects and tailored one-to-one support
- Our Girls Health & Welbeing Group and Drop-In run on a weekly basis throughout the year
- We provide on-site work experience in The Old School Cafe and support young people to achieve the REHIS Food Hygeine Certificate
- We are an SQA accredited centre.

Stage 1 / Engagement
The Gate - Young people aged 16-25 (must be school leaver)
Old School Cafe (volunteering/training) - Young people aged 15-25.
We work with all young people regardless of barriers but welcome referrals for those who are care-experienced and those requiring support with their mental health and wellbeing.
