Canongate Youth - The Gate (Canongate Youth)
Canongate Youth provides employability support to young people aged 16-24.
Our focus is on removing barriers for young people and supporting them in a holistic way to move on to further education, training, or employment. The employability team works with young people to develop skills, build confidence, and gain qualifications.
How it works
- Through tailored one-to-one support and various group work projects
- Our Wellbeing Group and Employability Drop-In run on a weekly basis throughout the year
- We are an SQA accredited centre.

Care experienced, Disability, Homeless / at risk of homelessness, Substance misuse, LGBT+, BME Groups, Criminal Convictions, and Health Conditions
Age group served
16-19 and 20-24
Stage 1 / Engagement, Stage 2 / Barrier Removal, Stage 3 / Vocational Activity, Stage 4 / Job Matching, and Stage 5 / Upskilling & Aftercare
Target audience: Young people aged 16-24 who are a school leaver.
Young people may be entitled to EMA, if eligible.
