Street League Employability Fund Stage 2 & 3 (Street League - Academy)

What it does:

Engages 16-30 year olds in structured sport & employability sessions over a 10 week period, with a view to preparing them for the next step in the career planning.

How it does:

Daily football &/or fitness sessions, coupled with employability groupwork sessions. Each day is designed to compliment both group work and practical aspects, leading towards achieving SQA awards. Where applicable, work experience placements (100 hours) are undertaken. Football is delivered from Sighthill Powerleague, with fitness at Xercise4Less, Wester Hailes.

Target audience:

16-30 year old, NEET. Interested in sport and fitness, but nothing is based on ability. Sport occurs daily, so participation is expected.

Other info:

All eligible young people will receive £55 per week training allowance, in addition to weekly paid travel expenses. All young people will receive Nike t-shirts to be worn when participatiing in practical element.
