Our Vocational Training Framework (VTF) offers free sector-specific training with recognised certificates and qualifications.
The Health & Social Care course runs for 2 weeks and covers:
- Person Centred Care
- Infection Control
- Adults Safeguarding
- Moving and Handling
- Administering Medication
- First Aid
- Dementia and Challenging Behaviour
Our course also offers tailored support to all learners
- Guided job-searching and matching
- One-to-one employment and careers advice
- Interview skills training
- And most importantly.... an interview with recruiting employers.

Recruitment Event - to meet with hiring managers across Edinburgh Health and Social Care Partnership.
We will have representatives from NHS Lothian and the City of Edinburgh Council, departments including: Edinburgh Council – Care Homes, Home Care and Reablement, Disability Services and Telecare Services. NHS Lothian – Facilities, Clinical, Labs, Modern Apprenticeships (16-24-year-olds) and Pharmacy.
Edinburgh Council: Social Care Assistants, Social Care Workers, Support Workers, Domestic Assistants, Catering Assistants, Cooks
NHS Lothian: Healthcare Support Workers, Lab/Biomedical Assistants, Pharmacy Support Workers, Domestic Assistants, Catering Assistants, Porters, Sterile Services Technicians, Modern Apprenticeships across different departments etc
