A new Digital Skills programme was launched on 30 May 2019. The fund can provide grants of £1k-8k to eligible individuals who are looking to access digital upskilling training to benefit their career progression.
To be eligible, applicants need to be resident in Scotland and have the right to work in the UK. They must also either receive Universal Credit (or other income based benefits) or face two or more barriers to work, such as being an army veteran, having a disability, living in an area with a high unemployment rate, being aged 54 or older, or being homeless. Recent graduates (within the last 12 months) are not eligible to apply.
