Client Support Team Leader

This position would be ideal for someone who can work independently, is good with people and can lead by example. You will be leading a new team of Advisors in your Local Authority area. They will need you to support and encourage them as this new part of our service takes shape.

Our clients need the full details. So you will make sure your team is providing accurate and up to date information and advice on Social Security Scotland benefits. You understand and live up to our values of dignity, fairness and respect. Through this, you will deal with clients sensitively and appropriately. You will also role model this for your team.

This is a new part of our service, so we need you to set up and run an encouraging team environment. You will work closely with your team to manage their personal and professional development. Continuous improvement, quality assurance and better client experience will be needed every day.

You will support your team to provide accurate advice. Sometimes you will have to deal personally with escalated enquiries and complaints. When things change you will manage changes to policy and processes efficiently and smoothly. We want you to advise Senior Managers and partners to support new initiatives and the future direction of the agency.

You need to keep up to date on the changes to the social security benefit systems (in Scotland and the UK as a whole). We will get you involved in relevant training on this.
