Money Works

Sessions are fully-funded, so there is no charge. We just ask for minimum numbers of young people to make our sessions as effective and efficient as possible.

Young people attending the programme and successfully completing the workbook can also qualify for an SCQF Level 4 in Personal Money Management credit rated by SQA.

Face-to-face sessions available anywhere in Edinburgh. We will travel to your location. Minimum 6 young people required.

Virtual sessions also available. Minimum 3 young people required.

Budgeting and Household Costs: Attitudes towards money, needs & wants, cutting back, budgeting, steps after move in, reading bills, household costs.

Your Income: sources of income, wage slips, tax & NI, benefits, universal credit and sanctions.

Banking and Being Informed: How banks work, savings and current accounts, interest, forms of payment, choosing an account, understanding contracts, understanding tenancy agreements.

Borrowing and Scams: Forms of borrowing, credit history, debt consequences & prioritisation, staying safe with money.

Sessions are available throughout the year. We will do our best to accommodate dates that suit you.
