Childcare and Social Care - Employability Fund Stage 3 - Training for Care
Recruiting now for the next course which starts on Thursday 27 June.
TfC's Employability Fund stage 3 programme is aimed at 16 to 19 year olds who are interested in exploring employment options within the childcare or social care sectors.
On successful completion suitable participants will move into care employment with the aim of becoming a Modern Apprentice. Other participants will be work ready on completion and will be supported to make informed choices for their next steps.

Training for Care, 12 - 14 Logie Green Road: 1 day per week
Work placement: 4 days per week
2 week induction at TfC, followed by 4 days per week on placement and 1 tutorial day at TfC.
Childcare placements with pre-school children in nurseries (private or local authority), after-school clubs or additional needs settings. Adult care placements in care homes, day centres or community care units.
SQA Certificate of Work Readiness units (Practical Workplace Skills; Dealing with Work Situations; Responsibilities of Employment) and initial preparation for entry to care work employment and qualifications.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate their interest through having had some relevant work/voluntary experience including babysitting or supporting family members; English Nat 4 or above is desirable and PVG membership must be awarded prior to starting the course (TfC will administer the PVG application on behalf of the trainee).
