Update on SUSE Events - Covid 19 Information
Scottish Government Event – 3rd April D.E.G
This event is postponed for the foreseeable future. The Scottish Government still plan to publish their report at the end of March. We have suggested that when this has been published we will gather feedback from our members and share this with them and they are keen for us to do that. We will be in touch to let you know how we plan to arrange this with you.
This was scheduled for 14th May and we hope this will now take place later in the year, probably in November. We are co-ordinating this with our colleagues in Europe and will have a new date for you as soon as we can.
This has been postponed from 26th May to the 2nd of December.
This is scheduled to take place by the end of June. We intend to go ahead with this but we may look at having a virtual event that can be joined by video conferencing. We will let you know in due course.
We are very keen to get this underway in the coming weeks if at all possible. We've held discussions with Scottish Government and we think we can start some activities. Obviously we can't bring everyone together in the near future but we are working on a plan to consult widely with the partners so we can make some progress. We should have more information on this soon.
Covid 19 Information
We've added a page to the SUSE website with the latest guidance - https://www.suse.org.uk/blog/latest-advice-and-information-on-the-covid-19-outbreak(this will open in a new window)
The SCVO information hub is particularly helpful - https://scvo.org/support/covid-19(this will open in a new window)
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or comments about any of this and particularly if there is anything you would like us to be doing in the next few weeks to support you - we're open to all ideas.
We're also very keen to know how people are managing the current situation so that we can share ideas and innovative practice across the membership - in particular how people are using technology going forward.
It's likely we will put together a short survey and we may get in touch directly in the next couple of weeks - hopefully you will be able to spare some time to talk to us.
If you are getting in touch it's best to phone our mobile numbers - David (07540 835229) and Michelle (07592 502638).
In the meantime, please take care.
