Skills Development Scotland - Employer Support Funding
Skills Development Scotland is the National Skills Agency for Scotland. As part of their offer they facilitate a number of funds to support Employers develop their workforce.
Employability Fund (EF)
Scottish Government are currently reviewing the Employability Fund provision as part of 'No One Left Behind(this will open in a new window)' review of Employability Services in Scotland. Current EF contract provision in 2018/19 will be extended for one year to cover 2019/20.
Scotland's Employer Recruitment Incentive (SERI)
SERI will be managed by Local Authorities from April 2019, exact details TBC. Further information will be published by Joined Up for Business once confirmed.
Individual Training Accounts (ITA)
The ITA budget was closed in December 2018. It is expected, subject to budget confirmation, that ITA will reopen on 01 April 2019. Further information will be published by Joined Up for Business once confirmed.

Modern Apprenticeships (MA)
Scottish Government has set a target of 30,000 Modern Apprenticeships before 2020. Skills Development Scotland contract training providers to deliver MA Qualifications who can access funding. For full information on Modern Apprenticeships including funding, visit;
Graduate Apprenticeships (GA)
New for 2018, Skills Development Scotland have developed Graduate Level Apprenticeships in partnership with Universities. Graduate Apprenticeships allow employees to work full time and achieve a degree qualification.
