CareFirst Action for Children - Edinburgh & Lothian Employability Service

How the programme works: We have designed a 5 week training programme aimed at young people who would like to explore careers in Social Care

The programme starts on Tues 10 January 2023 and will be delivered from our training centre- Units 17 & 18 Castlebrae Business Centre, Edinburgh, EH16 4BB The days/hours of attendance will be Tuesday to Friday 9:30am-4:40pm

You will recieve a training allowance of £44 per week if eligible

If you are aged16 -24,live in Edinburgh or the Lothians, can independently travel to our Castlebrae training centre and have a keen interest in exploring the world of Social Care then you are eligible to apply

SQA award Food Hygiene Sessions Employer Expectations, Care Standards, Principles of Care Sessions Interview Workshops and Mock Interviews Employability skills including CV workshops and application support, Meet workers in the industry and find out more about their job roles, Meet employers and explore current opportunities within the industry

What is included in the programme On completion of the programme,you will be supported to explore progression opportunities including college, employment and further training.
