CashBack to the Future: Free arts workshops for 12-19 year olds (Impact Arts)
Free CashBack to the Future workshops will offer 12-19 year olds the chance to work with artist Christine Novosel as part of fun, friendly and fascinating visual arts workshops!
You will learn how to make printed bags, signs, tiles, sketchbooks, patches, badges and cards. You will make cool prints from everyday items - from rubbers and old shoes, to granny's cutlery and potatoes!
We will be taking inspiration from the incredible contents of Edinburgh's National Museum of Scotland, and tying personal stories in with the heritage and history the Museum unlocks...
Weekly sessions at the Museum will build towards the main summer programme which lasts four weeks and will run Tuesday 2nd July - Friday 26th July 2019.
The programme is funded by the Scottish Government's CashBack for Communities initiative, National Museums Scotland and the National Lottery Heritage Fund's Kick the Dust fund.
Participants work with Impact Arts' creative team as part of fun, inclusive workshops over a period of weeks. As well as learning new artistic skills, participants gain confidence, meet new people and gain an outlet to express themselves.
