Our Employability Service at Deaf Action covers Edinburgh and the Lothians and Fife.

As a service we offer one to one support with CV writing, Interview Skills, Applying for jobs, Building self confidence, Setting employment aims, while helping to arrange work placements, voluntary work and employer engagement. Our Employability service also delivers a range of workshops.

We support unemployed Deaf, Deafblind, deafened and Hard of Hearing adults over 18 years old with enhancing their chances of successfully getting a job.

The team: Katharine Jackson (Employability Engagement Advisor) Building relationships with local employers to raise deaf awareness, set up job placements and increase work opportunities for our clients. Mark McMillan (Employability Advisor) Supporting Deaf adults to overcome barriers to employment. Carole Wallace (Employability Advisor) Supporting Hard of Hearing and Deafened adults to overcome barriers to employment. Carol McKay (Office Administrator) Administration support for the Employability team.
